The Busy Trap

New York Times opinionator Tim Kreider has some straight talk on why people are not only busy but exahusted and whining about it. The “crazy busy” existence so many of us complain about is almost entirely self-imposed.

Personally, I'm not busy and I refuse to be busy anymore. It's not proving anything to anyone, nor making my work better. Now I toil away with my beaux and the cats, peacefully churning out good work rather than lots of work.

Breaking my leg in 2006 saved me from myself. From The Busy.  Since then I've been forced to learn how to do less stuff. Now I'm not sure I do enough stuff, but whatever.  I'm not busy that's for sure.
